The Public Federal Debt is now $40 Trillion (with a ‘T’ as they say). If you are in the camp that this is no big deal, please move on. I’m not asking for a discussion is this is a big deal. This thread assumes that this IS a big deal. Virtually all of us are hoping to receive social Security. Many have Civil Service pensions, and some have military pensions.
