Norwegian Cruise eleva projeção com queda de tarifas e reação rápida nos resultados

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NYSE:NCLH)topped its own third-quarter targets and raised its full-year adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) outlook to about $2.55 billion. Shares jumped more than 10% in Thursday's regular session. But those targets already called for a sharp drop in yields. Ticket revenue fell as capacity grew, and adjusted profit trailed last year's level, so the turnaround rests on 2027 pricing, while first-half bookings still lag. Chart by Author. Norwegian filled its added capacity with cheaper, shorter sailings. Passengers carried jumped 22%, far faster than cruise days. More guests lifted onboard revenue enough to offset the ticket decline. But cruise lines earn their returns on sailings booked months ahead, and Norwegian's first-half 2027 bookings still trail last year, even at higher prices.
