I am researching NUA for stock in a 401k. I found this paragraph on Fidelity’s site. It sounds like if RMDs have been issued from a 401k in previous years, it negates NUA. From Fidelity: If you have taken out RMDs in past years from your 401(k) prior to the current year, you are disqualified from using NUA treatment on company stock.
