Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR) posted record fiscal first-quarter revenue of $33.0 million, up 200% from a year ago, and shares rose about 17% in after-hours trading. The company makes burn-in systems that stress chips with heat and power to catch early failures. Orders still outran sales, and backlog now covers nearly all the revenue needed to hit the new full-year target. Sales jumped while operating costs stayed nearly flat from last quarter. Most of the extra revenue fell to profit, turning last quarter's operating loss into $6.0 million of operating income. Real orders back the outlook. Aehr needs about $117 million over the next three quarters to reach its target, and nearly all of that is already on order, though the release doesn't say how much ships this fiscal year. The new target is also just the top of the old range.
