All this AI hacking stuff has me worried about wealthsimple

Heyo. I'm very amateur at investing, i basically just have a bunch of ETFS. I'm in Canada. I've got half my money in RBC investing and half in Wealthsimple. Ever since Wealthsimple got into prediction markets it's left me with a bad taste in my mouth, like they're not a serious company. Now with the AI hacking stuff and Binance being siphoned off by North Korea it's making me extra leery. I don't know enough about it to research it properly but since they're actually FinTech and not a bank (but they are somehow involved with RBC?) I can't tell if my money is guaranteed there the same way it would be with RBC in case AI decides to do a raid and erase my holdings. Can anyone explain to me like I'm 5 if wealthsimple is on par risk wise as an an actual bank? To diversify my risk I'd transfer to another Canadian bank (I've heard TD has lower trade commission than RBC) so my paltry eggs aren't in one basket. I just don't know if my Spidey senses are tingling for a good reason or just because I'm uninformed and the news cycle is spiking my anxiety. Be gentle with me, I'm new.
