This year has been a tremendous one for healthcare company Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN), as it has risen by more than 40% in value thus far. While a lot of the hype in healthcare is around Moderna these days with its cancer vaccine, Amgen is a larger and safer business to invest in. And it also gave investors some great news with respect to a promising cancer treatment. Amgen's Imdelltra has shown that it can significantly reduce the risk of death in patients who have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, when paired with a treatment from AstraZeneca, Imfinzi.
