Has this sub reverted back to nonsense?

For a while there, this seemed to be the sensible sub, advocating not timing the market and regular consistent contribution in broad based funds. Now its seemingly back to stock picking and timing the market posts 24/7. What happened? Certainly the underlying thesis is doing as fine as ever conferring solid if not spectacular annual gains with no real risk or effort needed. Are we destined to always end back up with crap?
