ETFs and Mutual Funds Investments - How to Identify Which Ones to Invest in?

Hi - Does anyone have a good resource or tips for identifying safe ETFs and mutual funds that I can m invest and would ideally generate at least 5% in returns? I want to pull all my money from my money managers and do it myself, but I don’t know where to start. Thanks.
