For me traps are media headlines that can mess with your judgement. Also emotional price anchoring into past graphs can distort entry and sell decisions... When an unprofitable company keeps dropping and their balance sheet sucks, the media will post "is this the new Nvidia? this is double AMD" to pump the stock and trap exit liquidity. Like the case with CRBS, that was my biggest trap I avoided up to now. When a solid business is at a discount they scream: do not ever buy it, sell now fast, target price downgrade. The stock climbs silently 30% back, then they say "is it a buy now, is it undervalued?". When a stock climbs at an all time high like Sandisk, they say 3000$ target, buy now at 2300$, generational bargain. What are some traps you fell for or avoided last minute ?
