Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA) (NYSE: BRKB) CEO Greg Abel has made several significant changes to the $299 billion portfolio since he took over in January. The biggest change so far appears to be its concentration. The portfolio has shrunk to 29 stocks from 42 at the end of 2025, while assets have grown by 9%, from $274 billion to $299 billion. The top five holdings made up around 70% of the portfolio at the end of 2025, when Warren Buffett stepped down as CEO. After the second quarter of 2026, the top five holdings were still right around 70%, 69% to be exact, but there is one notable difference. Greg Abel, Berkshire Hathaway CEO.
