We/I have no stake in Duolingo. The owl is down ~73% from its peak and that is no surprise. A combination of AI pressure and a reduction in the proportion of paid users is just the start of duolingo's problems. BUT, the future doesn't look that bleak. The company's spirit has survived and it is still growing. The "streak restore" campaign has brought back millions of users and engagement is fine. Users remain loyal and the bird lives another day.
