On its second quarter of fiscal year 2027 earnings call, held on Nov. 3, 2026, Hamilton Lane (NASDAQ:HLNE) reported total asset footprint growth of 7% year over year to $1.1 trillion. An expanding asset management footprint and high-margin specialized product launches give the private markets firm steady operating leverage. For long-term investors, the key is that recurring fee revenue is outpacing expense growth. Three things management said stand out. Evergreen funds feature continuous investor subscriptions without fixed end dates. That structure gives wealth channels easier access to private equity. And expanding evergreen assets under management (AUM), or total assets managed for clients, raises blended fee rates because these specialized funds carry higher management fees than traditional advisory mandates. Hamilton Lane partnered with financial analytics provider FactSet to integrate private market benchmarks covering more than 70,000 funds. The multiyear agreement secures recurring fee revenue for the company's reporting and data analytics segment. It also embeds Hamilton Lane's proprietary benchmark tools directly into institutional investor workflows.
