If you're unhappy with the service you've received from your particular IG advisor (and their group), is it possible to move within IG? Not sure whether to stay with IG either, but thought this would be a starting point. (This isn't about financial loss, but rather loss of confidence and wanting the best advice to protect the future of our investments.)
