Traditional IRA vs Brokerage Account

I do not have a Traditional IRA, but I do have a Roth IRA and a Brokerage Account. I have been looking at options for additional investing strategies and the T-IRA was a consideration. However, something struck me as "off" when I compared a T-IRA to a Brokerage Account. My future tax rate in retirement should be 24% (married + jointly, just under $400k). My long term capital gains tax rate should be 15% (married + jointly, capped at $613k). Why would I want to have a T-IRA and pay 24%
