5 ETFs vs 17 ETFs : am I overcomplicating this or does my rebalancing idea have merit?

I’m trying to finalize an investment strategy that I can stick with for the next 30 years. I’m in the accumulation stage and comfortable being basically 100% equities for now. I would add bonds/Treasuries as I get closer to retirement. I’ve narrowed it down to two approaches and I’m curious what people here think.
